Being one of Europe´s largest plastics recycling and trading companies nowadays, RDB plastics GmbH started its first business as RDB GmbH in Loop, Germany, in 2003. After trading with raw materials of any kind (paper, metal scrap, plastics), RDB moved to a bigger site in Aukrug (Northern Germany) in 2007 to focus solely on plastics. As 10 purchasers in Germany and neighboring countries contribute to an annual turnover of 200.000 tons of films, hard plastics and PET bottles, RDB opened up another site in Western Germany, Oberhausen, in 2010 to further improve logistic advantages for suppliers in Central and Western Europe.

Becoming a subsidiary of INTERSEROH (nowadays ALBA Group) in 2008, RDB merged with Interseroh Rohstoffe GmbH and with Interseroh Kunststoffaufbereitungs GmbH with its EPS processing plant Aschersleben and its office in Cologne, Germany, to finally become RDB plastics GmbH in 2010.
Desiring further logistic advantages for Eastern and Southern European suppliers, the 3rd site of RDB had been founded in Koper, Slovenia, in 2011. To cope with the increasing handling volumes we moved from Oberhausen to Duisburg in 2016.
Developing the plastic business successfully over the following years by – among other things – installing 20 purchasers in almost all European countries, RDB currently deals with an annual turnover of 400.000 tons of plastic scraps (295.000 tons of films and hard plastics, 100.000 tons of PET bottles and 5.000 tons of EPS).
RDB plastics GmbH is a certified recycling company with QM-Certificate ISO: 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2015 and the AQSIQ-License for the export to China.
